The state media report said, on Wednesday, North Korea has successfully approved the test of its very first major weapon this year.

The state news agency of North Korea, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said, it has accurately hit the desired target of 700km which is 434 miles away.

This is the second report of the hypersonic missile, which can keep away from detection for a longer time than a ballistic missile.

The test results come as ‘Kim Jong-un’ its leader had already promised the protection of bolster Pyongyang.

In a New Year’s speech, Mr. Kim said that Pyongyang could keep building its defense abilities as a result of growth in the unsteady military atmosphere on the Korean peninsula.

Last year, North Korea tested different varieties of missiles in between the delayed talks with the US and South.

In order to develop hypersonic missiles, Pyongyang is connected with several countries, involving China and the United States.

Early on Wednesday, the new launch was firstly identified by the Japanese coast guard before being approved by the defense officials in the capital of South Korea (Seoul).

As per the report of KCNA, in Wednesday’s test, “the hypersonic gliding heat shield” was disconnected from its maneuvered and rocket booster, literally up to 120 km which is 75 miles before it accurately reaches the desired target of 700 km which is 430 miles away.

It also said the analysis approved the types of equipment like flight control and its capacity to function in winter.

Usually, the hypersonic weapons fly in the direction of targets at a low altitude as compared to ballistic missiles, and also, they can accomplish more than five times the speed of sound- or nearly 6,200 km per hour which is approx. 3,850 miles per hour.

Ankit Panda, a defense expert from Carnegie Endowment for the International Peace addressed the news channel, that the newly launched missile is not exactly like a hypersonic missile that was examined last September, but the Hwasong-8 missile does share several similar features.

In October 2021, the latest missile was first launched at a defense exhibition in Pyongyang.

The inspection report come as Pyongyang was going through a food shortage as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that has seriously affected its economy.

However, ‘Mr. Kim’ at the yearend meeting said that the country is going through a ‘struggle of great life and death’ and additionally he said the growth in the development and the upgrading the standard of living among people, where this year’s aims.

In spite of this, North Korea doesn’t show any indication of postponing its weapon program and further stated that they are required for their own security purpose.

However, the US has been called North Korea to hand over its nuclear weapons, and the relationship between ‘Pyongyang’ and President Joe Biden’s administration has been through tension for a longer period.
