Facebook Parent Meta’s Head of Communications ‘John Pinette’ left Company

On Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported, mentioning the post he builds for employees, John Pinette, the head of communications at the Facebook parent ‘Meta’ platform Inc., is resigning from the company.

 

The newspaper cited ‘John Pinette’ as saying, “the present day will be my last day at Meta and I know the team will pursue to develop as you do several most important and most critical work in Communications”.

 

However, the report doesn’t include the reason for his exit.

 

Outside the United States hours, Meta did not respond instantly to the appeal for comments by the press agencies.

 

In April 2019, John Pinette was selected as a president of global communications, as per his blog post at the time when he was appointed.

 

According to the blog post, “John Pinette administered communications for Gates Ventures, the private office and the innovation lab of “Bill Gates”, before joining the social media company for about five years, he has also played a role of head of Asia Pacific communications for “Google” and carried a number of projects and was a leadership position of corporate communications at “Microsoft” Corporation.”

 

A spokesperson of Meta said in an emailed statement to the press, “Chris Norton, the vice-president of international communications will take over his role for a meanwhile.”

 

As per the statement, “John Pinette has left the Meta company, and we all are thankful for his positive approach and contribution during the significant and intense time in the history of the company, we wish him well for making progress.”
